Hong Kong International Design and Innovation Forum 香港國際設計創意研討會

Occassionally, I attended Hong Kong International Design and Innovation Forum held in JCCAC this afternoon.

Guests include Kohei Nishiyama, Douglas Young and Thomas Crampton.

I was attracted by the poster below:

HK Internation Design Forum

In the sharing, both Douglas and Kohei believed they are having fun with design. Absolutely, I think JOY is the most important thing when doing everything especailly design, that’s why HODUCKYEE exists!

Douglas shared how his design team works together in a causal and innovative way, as well as being inspired by HK local culture, such as “Delay No More”. He explained the idea was really inspired by HK people street saying and it does describe HK people “Don’t want to be late”……….people laughing at the back!

Kohei runs an innovative online product development community system that used by MUJI and LEGO. He shared that he doesn’t fear about copying idea but concerns more on concepts. He emphazied on how you adopt others into new one, similar to film-making. His success I think was due to his business mind and strong market sense!

What an ordinary afternoon came across an unusal forum.
